Dining Building with Matching Table    1981

Commissioned by the Organization of Independent Artists Dining Building is an exercise in  spontaneous versus precise construction. The two forms are identical but at different scale. First I constructed the building, working in a spontaneous way without plans. I then made the table by precisely duplicating the building’s form at furniture scale.  Although the process and attitude of construction were very different, the actual artifacts appear the same.
